I am a Chartered Builder (FCIOB) and have over 30 years experience in the construction industry. I have spent the majority of my career in contracting except for the initial years which were with a design consultant and also a period with a developer as construction director. Latterly, I have managed the regional office of a national contractor.

I joined Network Rail to lead the construction team on the Birmingham New Street Gateway Project so that I could be part of a team which will employ exciting and ground breaking procurement arrangements to deliver the Gateway project.

Shortly, the Delivery Partner will be appointed allowing the IPT to be formed. The IPT will explore and test a variety of options in phasing, sequencing and programming of the project in parallel with seeking the optimum arrangements for the Works Package awards.

This project offers the rare chance to work within a co-located ITP alongside some of the most respected and capable members of the construction community using procurement methods that will become increasingly used for the larger projects by enlightened clients.
