Programme Controller – Head of Planning & Controls

I am a Chartered Civil Engineer and have worked in the construction industry for 30 years within the UK and overseas. In July 2007 I left mainstream construction to join Network Rail and lead the Planning & Controls team on the Birmingham New Street Gateway Project.

During the past 7 months I provided support to the Gateway Team (Network Rail and our Partners) and Consultants by examining scheme options, methodologies and procurement strategies in order to secure funding.

Now funding has been confirmed the project has entered the next phase – Pre-construction, incorporating scheme finalisation, design, procurement, what-if exercises, development of the execution and logistics plan, the list is endless.

There is so much to be done, now is the time to make a real difference and no two days will be the same.
